Year Four Blog

We have continued our Viking topic by exploring Viking art. We have learnt how to draw knots, dragons, snake and even Viking Warriors! We have learnt new shading techniques to help bring our pictures to life. We have also made Viking shields and created to large display in the hall.

In English, we have chosen, researched, written and performed a topic of our choice for our youth speaks project. We produced 30 different non-chronological reports on subjects ranging from Boxing to Maths Symbols! This term we have been learning about play scripts. We have investigated their features and read, written and performed our own. Just the help we needed before we learn our lines and perform our Christmas play! We can’t wait!

In numeracy, we have been concentrating multiplication and division. Becoming quicker at recalling our times tables and seeing how they link to division. We have just enjoyed a fantastic Roald Dahl themed maths day, where we measured medicine, priced up sweets and went on a chocolate treasure hunt.

We also read the story of Diwali in RE and produced our own paper plate Rangoli patterns. They look awesome!
