Year Three Blog

As well as practising for our upcoming Christmas play, we have been learning many new topics in the classroom.

For Science, we moved onto ‘Forces and Magnets’. We have had fun experimenting with North and South sides of magnets and checking the magnetism of objects.

Our Topic subject has been the Romans. As usual, we have been extremely enthusiastic about this- even learning how to stand in formation- ready for battle!

For Literacy, we have enjoyed reading about traditional tales from India, attempting to write one ourselves using this style. Our role play for the retelling of ‘Rama and Sita’ was excellent.

Our swimming has greatly improved and we really liked the last session where we learned life-saving skills.

Lastly, in Maths, we have been looking at shapes, perpendicular/parallel lines and angles. We’ve analysed data and created bar graphs in Statistics.
