Year Three Blog

We have been very enthusiastic learning about the Stone Age. Each of us have designed a cave or a hut where we would live.

In numeracy, we have worked very hard on counting up and back in ones, tens and hundreds. We’ve played games where we have to turn digits into zeros and have used our new subtracting method.

For Literacy, we read ‘I’ll Take You To Mrs Cole’s’ and used our imagination to rewrite the story from our own perspective. There were some excellent examples.

One of our favourite subjects has been Science- where we have been learning about rocks and fossils. There have been many rocks we have been able to find outside and group according to the type.

Recently, we started our Dance sessions and for outside PE we’ve been playing hockey with Mrs Hill.

Thursday morning was fantastic at the Schoolympics. There was great teamwork shown by our class representing the country France in all sports and the weather was lovely and sunny!
