Year Two Blog

We have continued working on our termly topic of ‘Toys’ and trying to answer the question ‘Do we all play the same?’

We have been covering a new unit in art based on Photography of toys. The children have been developing their knowledge of what does and what does not take photographs, as well as learning to take the best possible photo. We have looked at lighting, effects, positioning, framing and much more!

In Geography we have been looking at the local area, including; jobs, housing, landmarks, maps and map symbols. The children loved going for a walk around the town to find all of the key locations.

In addition, we have also been lucky enough to go to a Football Festival at KJAR, which was amazing! It was very well planned and the children were able to stay together to learn a range of skills before putting them into practice in several matches.

We now plan to get into Christmas preparation mode!
