Year Two Blog

So far this term, we have spent time getting back into routines and becoming familiar with the structure of the school day once again. We have also spent time completing lots of fun activities for the children’s health and well-being, from Just Dance to drawing, colouring and additional play times.

Our learning this term has ranged from map skills in Geography to natural sculpture in Art. We have also been learning about habitats in science and Harvest in RE.

The children have particularly enjoyed our new topic in Literacy focused on a book called Journey by Arron Becker. We have developed a fantastic understanding of the story from the pictures and have been able to draw our own favourite sections using pastels. We have written poems and created lanterns from the story to hand the poems in!

So far we have loved being back in Year Two and it is wonderful to share so much of the children’s fab learning!
