Year Two Blog
The class thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Henry Moore foundation. They loved seeing the sculptures that we had looked at in our lessons and the guides were very impressed with the amount of knowledge that the children had about Henry Moore and his life.
The children had a surprise maths day in November, which followed the themes from the stories by Roald Dahl. They undertook a range of exciting maths based activities, such a shopping in Willy Wonkas Sweet shop and a number based Chocolate bar hunt.
We also attended a speed stacking festival at the King James academy; the class competed against other schools and improved their skills over the course of the morning.
Another highlight of the term was the Year 2 Florence Nightingale class assembly. The children performed fantastically and sang their hearts out. We were very proud of their amazing acting and singing skills. Well done year 2, keep up the hard work!
