“ Today we went to the british schools museum. There was a victorian classroom and school. There was a blackboard for the teacher to write on. We had to call the teacher “Maam.” My favourite bit was when Alex had to be caned by the teacher!” Oscar M

“ The teacher called out my name. She said I didn’t know how many farthings  3,995s was worth. I had to wear the Dunces hat at the front of the class.” Emily

“Today we had a Victorian lesson. We wrote on slates and we used ink and special pens to do our handwriting. The teacher was very strict.” Roisin

“My favourite part of the museum was that all of our class got to use a special pen with ink. We also visited the Headmasters house. It had soap in it that smelt of blue cheese!” Issy

“My favourite part was visiting the headmasters house because some rooms were very fancy. It didn’t have a proper toilet or a cooker though!” Maizie
