Year One Blog

We followed the instructions and made our own vegetable soup; it was very yummy!

After half term, we enjoyed learning about the Hindu festival of light called Diwali. We had great fun learning a new dance and all about the story of Rama and Sita. We made diya lamps and lanterns. We shared all of our learning in our first ever class assembly. It was very exciting to show the rest of the school and our grown ups all of our wonderful learning!

We really enjoyed our Geography topic exploring our local area. We all walked into Royston town spotting key local landmarks. We plotted them on our maps and discussed jobs that people did.

We are really looking forward to all of the Christmas activities coming up. We have been practising our beautiful singing voices for the school play.
