Year One Blog

In Literacy we have enjoyed doing a variety of activities from writing our own fairy tales to making jam sandwiches!

We have really enjoyed topic this half term which has been all about ‘Toys’. We have explored our favourite toys, looked at toy from the past and at the end of term we had a toy day!

We have been really lucky to have Miss Windsor with us this term (and she is staying next term as well), she really helped us during our topic on portraits and showed us how to sew some amazing glove puppets in DT. They are on display in our room so feel free to come and have a look.

We have loved Friday Explorers this term. We have enjoyed building towers, making bird’s nests, constructing life sized pirate ships and had a lovely Mothers’ Day which included hide and seek and garden building.

We have loved our learning this term and can’t wait to see what we will be doing in the Summer Term.
