The visit was arranged to support the children’s current learning in science on animals. Its aim was to extend the children’s knowledge and understanding of the 5 basic welfare needs of pets with a specific purpose on dog care. The children helped to sort different items from a bag under the 5 welfare headings of;

  • A good home
  • Food and water
  • Love and care
  • Toys
  • Health (vet) care

The visit ended with a surprise visit from ‘Wiggles’ the lovely black 4 year old  labrador belonging to the Wood Green education officer.
