Year One Blog

Today the children went on a bear hunt around the school. They looked at the geography of their school and its grounds and the key human and physical features of its environment. They described what they could see and hear, and how they felt at different locations. They used simple compass directions to describe the location of features.                                  

We ended the hunt in the school woods where the children found Red Bear.
