The event was run by the NEHSSP and officiated by the Y8 sports leaders.

The event was split into two parts: a tournament and a festival.

The festival involved the Y8s coaching skills to our children whilst playing in small-sided games.  They thoroughly enjoyed improving their skills as well as meeting new children from the other schools.

The Tournament involved 5 teams from the first schools in Royston and surrounding villages.  It was a very close tournament with Studlands winning 3 of their 4 matches.  Their final match was against Icknield Walk.  The match was superb to watch with both teams scoring 1 goal each.  With just a minute of time left one of the Icknield backs kicked the ball high into the air and down the pitch to be received by their striker.  Unfortunately, our defence just couldn’t get back in time and it was a 1 on 1 with our goalie who had to dive to try and save it but it was such as well-placed shot it went in.

We came 2nd in the tournament.
