The children have drawn lovely pictures of their families and have enjoyed sharing their scrapbooks, telling us about their family and the lovely things they do outside of school.  They talked about their homes and looked at how homes have changed and had lots of conversations about no lights or electricity and no toilets!

As part of our learning of ‘Harvest Festival’ the children looked at work of the artist Giuseppe Acrimboldo and used a printing technique with fruit and vegetables to create super self-portraits.

We have also been learning about the human body and the children have been busy making skeletons and talking about the brain, heart, lungs and stomach.

In maths they have been using their super subitising skills to compare values and practising their 1:1 counting skills.

We are looking forward to next term when our topic will be ‘What do we celebrate?’
