In Expressive Arts and Design, the children explored different media including using clay to make diva lamps and different printing techniques to create firework pictures. The children also explored colours and how we can mix colours to make new colours.
In literacy the children read the story of Rama and Sita, talking about the key events of the story, developing their understanding of story structures. The children have also been practising their mark making, drawing simple shapes and copying letters from their names.
We will start next time with the topic of ‘Winter’ and this will be followed by ‘Our Favourite Stories’. The children have been voting for their favourite stories and the children’s learning will be based upon these stories.
