We started back by learning about the festival of Diwali. We retold the story of Rama and Sita, created our own Rangoli and Mehndi patterns and made our own Diya lamps.
We enjoyed our literacy learning about Beauty and the Beast which culminated in the visit to see the pantomime. During literacy, we learned how to sort story settings and characters and discussed what they were and why they were important to stories. We used our amazing describing words to describe Beauty and other characters from the story.
We had a lovely trip to Royston Library. We found out about how the library works. We listened to stories and sang nursery rhymes. And we even got given our own special book and stickers to keep!
In Maths, we have explored 3D shapes and completed lots of different activities during the Roald Dahl maths day such as counting items from Mr Twits beard. We also learned about coins and how much each coin is worth.
We have been very busy with all of our Christmas preparations. We made lots of lovely winter decorations during our decorations day and have had lots of fun practising and performing our Christmas play.
We are looking forward to our Christmas church service, our Christmas dinner and party.
