The children have had a great first term making friends and exploring the environment.

The children have been very busy joining in lots of activities linked to our topic ‘All about Me’.  The children have enjoyed sharing their lovely scrapbooks talking about all their favourite things and all the wonderful things they do with their families, drawing self-portraits and creating texture collages.

The children learnt about Harvest time.  They read ‘The Little Red Hen’ joining in with the repetitive phrases and talking about the key events.  They even made their own bread rolls.

In maths we have been practising counting and comparing groups of objects and using marks to represent how many things there are.  Some of the children have enjoyed completing our week maths challenge during ‘choosing’ time, proudly showing the adults their work.

We are looking forward to next term when we will be learning through our topics of ‘Festivals and Celebrations’.
