We  went for a walk into the woods, we observed and discussed the environment. We also hung the birdfeeders we made on the trees.

Pip “We made them because the birds need them to digest because there’s not any food for them in the winter.”

We have been exploring texture and developing our making skills. We worked in groups to recreate the Gruffalo characters using a variety of media to make different textures.

We are very proud of our literacy learning and all designed our own alternate version of a Gruffalo journey story.

Sophie “In my story a rabbit took a walk through the deep dark woods and met a mole, a bird and a hedgehog, then the Laser Leg.”

Jack “In my story a turtle took a swim in the nice warm ocean and met a shark, a jellyfish and then a Roar Roar.”

We’ve really enjoyed learning about addition and subtraction in Maths too. Especially when we made sums with sweets.

We have also enjoyed playing and exploring as we have learnt and investigated about the wintery weather we have been having.

A big thank you all for coming to watch our assembly too!
