The children have been making new friends and have got used to all the nursery routines.  They have been exploring both the classroom and garden and have had lots of fun.  Mrs Dipple, Mrs Duddy and Mrs Homes are very proud of how well they have settled.

They have been learning all about ourselves, sharing their scrapbooks and learning about their bodies.  They have been learning about their sense of sight and touch and have had lots of opportunities to get messy exploring different materials including shaving foam and corn flour and gloop!

The children have thought of some fantastic words to describe the textures of materials.  “It’s squidgy and slimy,” said Clara.  “Sticky,” said Jamie.

We even made bread to celebrate Harvest Festival.

The children then had great fun making bread in choosing time.

We are looking forward to next term when we will be sharing traditional tales, starting with Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
