Year 3 & 4 had a visit from Scientist Joanne from the Cambridge Science Centre

and enjoyed a talk all about the balance of biodiversity.

They created food chains from blocks and used ribbon to create a woodland food web. They learned about apex predators and the importance of a high level of biodiversity within ecosystems.

They used a microscope to look closely at lily pollen and discussed pollination and plant life.

The children really enjoyed the session and asked lots of interesting scientific question.
