Year 1 Blog
In science we have been busy learning about plants. We have watched our bean seeds start to grow, explored wild plants around the field and learnt about which garden plants we might have at home.
We have been learning to write stories based on our own personal experiences within literacy.
Whilst practicing for the Christmas play, we have also been learning about fact families in maths (e.g. 1+ 2 = 3, 2+1=3 and 3-2=1, 3-1=2), rhyming words in literacy and learning lots of new sounds in phonics.
We have been learning to sequence toys in chronological order in history,
The children have loved exploring print making in art linked to our science topic of Plants.
In our history lessons we have been learning about the town we live in: Royston!
