I started work in the school office, 25+ years ago, for just a few hours a day when my children were young.  As my family grew up and moved on, the job grew and changed, so my hours gradually increased to full time – and I still really enjoy every aspect of my job.  When a governor vacancy came up in 2014, I decided that the time was right for me to become involved beyond my day-to-day work.  I was elected as a Co-opted Governor and am part of the Finance, Premises and Personnel Committee.  I feel privileged to be part of a team that works hard to ensure that the right decisions are made with the best for the children as the  priority. 

Studlands Rise is a wonderful school  -  both of my children came to school here and then 2 of my grandchildren also attended so it has been a huge part of my life for many years.  I feel very fortunate to be working in such a caring environment where everyone is friendly and fully committed to ensuring that every child achieves the best that they possibly can.
