Meet the Governors

The Governing body is made up of staff, parents, members of the Local Authority and members of the local community. Governors play a vital role in the leadership and management of the school, providing support and challenge to ensure that the school is the very best that it can be.

At Studlands Rise the governors take a keen interest in the school and participate in two governors’ weeks during the school year to make sure that they understand how the school runs on a day-to-day basis. They also visit at other times, supporting in lessons, taking part in class trips, supporting whole school events, to name just a few.

Governor Profile

Mrs Sharon Maguire Staff Governor

I have been a teacher at Studlands Rise for a number of years and I have had the pleasure of teaching across the key stages.  During my time at the school I have led a range of subjects, been a mentor and am now INCO and Deputy Headteacher.  I am currently class based 2 days a week and spend the rest of my week fulfilling my other leadership responsibilities.  My role gives me the privileged position of working with a range of colleagues, professionals and parents as well as enjoying the company of pupils throughout the school.  No day is the same and it is this that makes working within a school and teaching such an exciting profession to be part of.
