School Dinners

 

Our school meals are prepared by Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Watson. They are delicious and are nutritionally balanced. We follow the Hertfordshire County Catering menu.

 

Dinner Monies

Dinner money is £2.05 per day for Nursery children or £2.15 per day for children in Year 3 and Year 4 and must be paid in advance, either weekly or half-termly. This should be sent into school first thing on a Monday morning in a sealed, clearly marked envelope with your child's name and details of what it is for.

 

Infant aged children (Reception - Year 2) are entitled to a free meal under the government universal free school meals initiative.

From September 2014, Universal Free School Meals are being introduced for all children in Reception to Year 2, so there will be no charge for meals for children in these year groups.

 

Dinner money is £1.95 per day for Nursery children or £2.05 per day for children in Reception – Year 4 and must be paid in advance, either weekly or half-termly. This should be sent into school first thing on a Monday morning in a sealed, clearly marked envelope with your child's name and details of what it is for.

 

Free School Meals

 

You are entitled to free school meals if you are receiving one of the following:

 

  • Income support
  • Income-based Job Seeker's Allowance
  • Employment and Support Allowance (IR)
  • Supported under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Child Tax Credit, provided that your annual income is less than £16,190
  • The guarantee element of State Pension Credit

 

Please note those receiving Working Tax Credit cannot apply.
